Marine Carpenter (Fitout) Manager

 

Austal USA, an aluminum shipbuilding company in Mobile, is seeking a highly motivated, hard-working Marine Carpenter  (Fitout) Manager to join our Management team.  This is a great opportunity to work in a growing shipyard that has recently received a large Navy Contract.  This position will report to the Operations Manager of Austal USA.

 

Fitout Manager will be:

 

-          Responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of all production schedules and budgets.

-          Responsible for the preparation of material take-offs.

-          Responsible for the red lining of drawings and ensuring that all construction procedures are adhered to.

-          Experienced in CNC prefabricated furniture construction.

-          Experienced in marine joinery.

-          Team management experience and excellent personnel skills are a must.

-          Experienced in Microsoft Office and/or computer usage

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills and excellent people management skills
