RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide research, analysis and administrative support to Senior Analysts. Application of homeland security procedures, regulations, operations and techniques. Review, analyze, and remove (redact) sensitive security information from documents and information prepared for release to the public through congressional hearings, litigation, Freedom of Information Act requests and other official or public releases. Participate in litigation and special activities related to training and policy development. May review and/or redact classified materials. Help prepare and store records for review and release. Enter data into and manage databases tracking requested and received document information. Document management and preparation, such as scanning, as assigned. Candidates with applicable experience would also be responsible for assisting with the adminsitration of the MS Access database tracking system.


REQUIREMENTS:

** Experience with regulatory and legal principles and procedures
** Display knowledge of, or ability to learn and apply aviation / transportation security principles, policies, and procedures
** Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team performing aviation security analysis, Sensitive Security Information analysis, policy, litigation support and IT functions

DESIRED:

Familiarity with transportation security or other security matters (military, private industry, crisis management, international and domestic terrorism). Candidates without a security analysis or policy background will be considered if their background includes one or more of the following: national security information handling or analysis, Freedom Of Information Act exemption application, Privacy Act application (FOIA / PA), government policy and regulation development or implementation, document management, litigation support, document discovery, providing training in policies and procedures. Advanced skills in MS Office products (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat.

EDUCATION:

** Bachelors in a Public Policy related field or Legal area
** MS / MA or JD (Juris Doctor) is a plus
