LEGAL SECRETARY

 

A small, sophisticated North Dallas corporate bankruptcy and litigation practice has an opening for an experienced and professional legal secretary/office administrator.  This position will support a partner and at least one associate.  

 

Position Description:Prepare Documents and correspondence in electronic and paper form using a wide variety of computer programsHandle all incoming calls in a professional and knowledgeable mannerIndependently manage firm calendar including docketing all required litigation deadlines and related activitiesMaintain office including ordering supplies and booksMaintain and organize paper and electronic filesPerform notary functionsPerform routine book keeping using computerManage and utilize computer fax system and perform date backupsCommunicate effectively with courts, client and service providers concerning essential matters

 

Ideal Candidate:Exceptional computer skills with extensive mastery of MS Word, WordPerfect, Excel, and Adobe.Typing at least 60 WPM and some dictation required.Texas litigation experience.Two to four years of year in bankruptcy in a professional legal environment is required.Professionalism is expected at all times.

 

Candidates will be required to pass a secretarial and computer skills screening test.
