This position is responsible for providing a full range of legal assistant services, with specific skill sets relevant to banking regulations, business/corporate transactions, and corporate secretary activities. Usual responsibilities include: preparing cover letters for regulatory filings and board related correspondence; preparing scripts for speeches; tracking meeting agendas; transcribing dictation; typing activities; proofreading minutes, memoranda, regulatory filings; assisting in the coordination of the legislative committee meetings; assisting in the filing of regulatory notices and applications; organizing and maintaining files and records; receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors; scheduling meetings; and coordinating travel accommodations.



· 4+ years of legal secretarial experience required

· Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with confidential information required

· Strong proactive organizational skills required

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

· Strong ability to interface directly with executive officers

· Strong attention to detail: must be able to proofread with a highly critical eye and assist in ensuring that regulatory filings, memoranda, minutes, etc. are in plain English

· Transcription skills required

· Experience in one or more of the following practice areas preferred: banking regulations, legislative, business/corporate transactions and Office of the Corporate Secretary 

· Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required
