ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Provides sound and effective legal counsel to General Counsel and the management team.
§ Performs legal work on transactional matters concerning the review, negotiation, drafting, interpretation of, and compliance with:
§ Contracts / Agreements including vendor agreements, licenses, equipment leases, and other contracts; modifications and amendments for legal content, consistency, and form prior to execution, and projects relating to vendor relationships; and
§ Property including retail and commercial real estate leases, other commercial real estate transactional documents, licenses / permits, maintenance contracts, brokerage agreements, consents, modifications and amendments for legal content, policy, and form prior to execution, and projects relating to property management and disposition.
§ Demonstrates a willingness to take on large quantities of legal work while exercising good judgment and tact in prioritizing requests for counsel.
§ Assumes personal responsibility and timeliness of work.
§ Consistently demonstrates strong communication skills: both oral and written.
§ Analyzes complex legal problems and develops creative and practical solutions.
§ Demonstrates maturity, initiative, leadership, compatibility and tact with other associates and management.
§ Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned by General Counsel.

EDUCATION/LICENSE
§ J.D.
§ Prefer undergraduate degree in finance, business, or accounting.
§ Valid bar license (Texas preferred).
EXPERIENCE
§ 5 to 7 years’ relevant legal experience, preferably private practice.
