Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer you will:
• Oversee plan and execute deployment of automated systems.
• Lead operational rollout of critical systems including the search engine production application code and revenue data processing.
• Mentor and train team members to perform day-to-day maintenance and system analysis.
• Recommend modifications to existing systems in order to enhance processing time reliability scalability and ease of deployment. Identify and enhance systems that routinely fail or require too much manual intervention.
• Design system wide utilities and methods for managing routine data functions application configuration changes and code deployment.
• Manage long-term projects that require interaction with multiple departments and systems.
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and review operator and control instructions.

And you will have the following qualifications:
• 3+ years of strong programmer/analyst or system administration experience on UNIX/LINUX.
• Detailed oriented with strong analytic and organization skills.
• Expert knowledge of SQL/T-SQL, Perl and Unix Shell programming and computer networking.
• Self-motivated and committed to the successful and timely completion of assignments
• Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities and tasks.
• BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field desired.
• Ability to work weekends evenings and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of Apache server configuration a plus.
