Regional Licensing Coordinator

The Licensing Coordinator performs the essential functions of the position which includes licensing and compliance support for licensed agents and entities within the West Region. The manager assigns specific responsibilities, not limited to the following:

 
Creates initial license applications for resident and non-resident licenses required by agents and entities.
Responsible for timely renewal of all resident and non-resident licenses held in the West Region.
Initializes and completes the carrier appointment process for all agents and entities within the West Region.
Keeps organized and continually updated database of licensing information
Keeps organized and continually updated image files of license copies, licensing paperwork and agency contracts.
Communicates effectively to licensing contacts, agents, departments of insurance and carriers to ensure thorough follow up procedures are in place.
Creates correspondence to carriers, departments of insurance and agents to facilitate compliance on behalf of licensed agents and entities.
Responsible for courtesy surplus lines filings for the Arizona Division.
Assists with projects that are clerical in nature as directed.

 

 

Accountabilities

 
Completion of projects and tasks on assigned schedule.
Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and all responsibilities.
Interacts with others effectively by using oral and written communication skills, cooperating and providing information as needed to contribute to the business efforts of the agency.
Communicates problems immediately to affected parties and to supervisor.
Works toward zero defects in applications for licenses, renewals and appointment paperwork.

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 
High school diploma required
Knowledge of insurance industry, carrier and broker interactions
Knowledge of licensing and appointment procedures
Ability to navigate web based information for licensing via DOI, NAIC, NIPR, carrier and other websites.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate various computer programs.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and do simple calculations involving decimals and fractions with accuracy.
Ability to process written materials visually.
Work is primarily sedentary.
