Claims Representative Trainee (Phoenix - East Valley)

Summary: Handles opening of claim through early contacts, resolves minor customer complaints for basic claims, and describes coverages applicable to the claim. Makes "initial" judgments as to liability and identifies pertinent factors that need to be investigated that may affect the claims resolution outcome. Gains general understanding of vehicle construction and medical payment claims.



 

Job Description:


Resolves minor customer complaints for basic claims. (i.e. no coverage questions, liability disputes, or litigation claims)




Identifies exposures and any that may need to be ruled out




Completes Medical Payment Summary form and uploads at the conclusion of claim




Learn to use and navigate the following systems: XPM, Filehandler, DocFinity, Process Claims, ISO, CCC to process and resolve the claim and/or order appropriate reports.


Properly document files to include all key activities, contacts made, statements taken, including a full outline covering all aspects of the claim and what is needed for resolution




Identifies referrals, completes proper summaries and sends them to subrogation for collection in a timely manner.




Makes best initial liability judgment and identifies pertinent factors that need to be investigated that may affect the outcome.




Gains general understanding of vehicle construction




Monitors repairs to reduce rental time and negotiate with shops to cover rental for any delays on the part of the shop




Identifies total losses and exhibits ability to complete necessary macros for authority




Learn the basics of processing medical payments claims





Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience is required




Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills




Strong analytical skills




Organizational and multi-tasking abilities




Solid negotiation skills




Exceptional customer service skills




Team Player who can assist others as needed




Solid computer skills and use with MS Office Products
