Claims Adjustor Assistant I
Essential Job Function:
This position is a resource to Claims Adjusters, which will assist them with the day-to-day operations. The Adjuster Assistant will be responsible for handling a high volume of correspondence and telephone calls from external customers.
The Adjuster Assistant will perform the following Claims Adjuster Tasks:
Assign Adjuster (internal).
Send Acknowledgement Letter.
Assign Appraiser (ISN or tech partner).
Set Reserves.
Perform 1st National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) Search and Flag.
Order Police and Fire Reports.
Obtain Recorded Statement.
Request Broker's Purchase Order (BPO) or Dealer Contract.
Request Loan Information.
Search for Weather Information.
Obtain Witness Statement.
Request Report of Accident.
Request Title.
Request Vehicle Pick-up.
Request Settlement Information.
Generate Theft Letter & Inventory Forms.
Create Duplicate File Set-up (New ELR for additional claims.
Conduct Internal Valuation (Proquote?).
Skip Locate (provide Docs/).
Pseudo Claims Conversion.
Request Payments.
Complete Settlement Summary.
Create Settlement Letter.
Closing the Reserve.
Request Denial.
Create Denial Letter

Preferred Skills/Education:
1+ year’s related industry experience.
Excellent communication skills, knowledge of the claims support area and a basic understanding of the claims process. .
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, AS/400, CCS, PAC, and Picasso.
Type minimum of 35+ wpm.
Use 10 key by sight.
