PVD EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Air Products and Chemicals Inc (NYSE:APD) is a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gasses and chemicals as well as a leader in the semiconductor equipment refurbishment and support industries, is seeking several experienced PVD Equipment Technicians for its Gilbert, AZ facility.

General Description:
Technicians will perform a variety of tasks including:
-Audit chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) machines to determine system capability and parts requirements
-Take down and reassembly/upgrade of electrical and mechanical assemblies and components
-Reliability testing of the finished product

Preferred Qualities:
-Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to use hand tools and electronics troubleshooting equipment. Ability to perform testing and troubleshooting of complex electrical and mechanical assemblies. Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and manuals. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have manual dexterity required to manipulate small components, be able to lift 55 lbs, and wear supplied steel toe shoes. Experienced with desktop computer applications. Prior experience in an ISO 9001:2000 manufacturing environment is a plus.
-Experience in installation, start up and repair of a variety of CVD/PVD equipment from the following vendor(s):
Applied Materials (AMAT):
Endura, Centura, P5000¿
Novellus:
Concept 1, Concept 2¿

* Expertise with other semiconductor equipment manufactures considered as well.

Education Requirements:
Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience
