Residential and Commercial Installation Technician

Responsibilities:
Installs Brink's Home Security® authorized equipment in customer homes and businesses in accordance with established standards and procedures
Design security system layout utilizing equipment knowledge and capabilities
Coordinate equipment testing and explain system capabilities and operation to customer
Maintain inventory control and ensure adequate stock levels of equipment
Establish account in customer database and complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, time logs and emergency information schedule via hand held computer device
Assist in promotion and sale of additional equipment/services
Safely operates assigned Company vehicle and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer's specifications
Exhibits professional appearance and conduct in accordance with established Company standards to present a professional image to the customer and the general public
Provide training for new installation technicians when proficient in all of the above duties

 

Requirements for Installation Technicians:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of experience performing similar installation duties, preferably in home security, cable TV, telephone service, home improvement industries, low voltage: structured wiring, electrician apprentice, satellite installation and/or CCTV installation
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
