Position: Field Service Technician

 

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Will work out of the Phoenix airport)

Cleveland, OH (Will work out of the Cleveland airport)

Description:  Field Tech will perform preventative and reactive services on Kinetics’ self-service ticket devices located at Phoenix/Cleveland airport and other regional airports serviced out of Phoenix/Cleveland.  Preventative service requires testing of key device components, including touchscreens, card readers, & printers.  It also includes maintaining cleanliness of the devices, inside and out. Reactive service includes basic hardware troubleshooting, including hard drive, card reader, memory, printer, touchscreen, CPU, and verification of network connectivity.  Field Tech will make decisions and judgments in their daily tasks which impact business operations of Kinetics and Kinetics’ customers.  A limited amount of manual work is required; however, primary duties will be more intellectual in nature, involving problem diagnosis, trouble shooting, decision making, planning, and reporting.

Requirements: Requires as a minimum, a good understanding of computer hardware and computer systems. Experience with hardware troubleshooting, and understanding of networks and operating systems (Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP) is also required.  This position will require regular travel (air) to surrounding airport locations to provide the preventative and reactive services described above.  Travel will occur 4-5 times per week, on average.  Most all (95+%) will be day trips, departing and returning on the same day.

 

 

Schedule: Hours are normally 8am to 5pm but you must be flexible to work some overtime if needed.  Work days will likely be Monday thru Friday; however, tech must be willing and able to work an alternate schedule if required: Tues-Sat or Sun-Thur.

Field Tech would be required to pass drug test and background screening provided by Kinetics, Inc.

 

Salary: Hours up to 40 per week:   $14.50 per hour

Overtime (over 40 per week): Time and a half

Average Hours per week: 40-44
