Business Project Sr Analyst - HIPAA Electronic Data Interchange

Role Summary
Assesses, plans, monitors, evaluates and reports on project plans. Participates in and/or facilitates the design, development, and implementation of new operational controls, performance metrics, information management systems, and automated processes. Compiles and analyzes results of services for identification of improvement opportunities. Develops, produces, gathers and improves executive and line of business scorecards. Provides services benchmarking and industry comparative analysis support. Provides measurement and cost savings support (development, reporting, validation and improvement) for service management. Possesses a thorough knowledge of the interdependencies among business improvement teams and matrix partners; negotiates change through matrix partners; and serves as a technical, procedural, or workflow resource for improvement teams, matrix partners and management. Position requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with external suppliers to evaluate transaction edits, and coordinate testing for new and established trading partners.
Create, maintain, and coordinate test plans with internal stakeholders. Ability to efficiently and accurately analyze, report test plan results, and resolve defects.
Documents front - end processing requirements, process flows, and traceability matrices as well as other materials driven by business and technical requirements.
Manage issue resolution process for trading partners and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
Provide operational support for EDI - HIPAA transactions to include, but not limited to, claim transactions, real-time transactions, ERA transactions, etc.
Identify and recommend changes to enhance the effectiveness of business and technical analysis strategies.
May lead small scale projects and/or create and facilitate training.

General requirements :
Qualifications
Computer systems - UNIX / NT
Minimum of four years broad-based healthcare business knowledge
Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI)/HIPAA
Bachelors degree in computer science or business administration and/or equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of formal education
Business and system analysis experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Technical requirements :
Unix/NT; EDI
Candidates should have some experinence with :
Healthcare Insurance, HIPAA
