SQL Reporting Analyst

3 Month Contract - Possible Longer Term Contract 

 

Essential Functions:Work closely with customers to define, document, develop, implement, maintain, administer and support solutions based on SQL reporting services. Write and publish reports to the report server. Monitor, tune, diagnose, and resolve problems with Reporting Services. Administer effective capacity planning processes to ensure performances is in line with business expectations. Provide support for all aspects of data architecture, data management, and applications support as necessary. Report status, issues, and time lines to management staff and project teams. Develop and support business relationships with project team and business customers. Develop and maintain documentation required to facilitate knowledge transfer and business continuity. Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards to ensure conformance with information systems goals and procedures. Work as a member of the Applications Development Team to create scalable .NET / MS SQL based solutions which meet the business needs of the organization Multi-task across several ongoing projects as required Perform other duties as assigned

 

 Requirements:



· Experience with SQL Server 2000, 2005

· Expert problem solving skills

· Strong leadership and teamwork skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills

· US Citizenship required

· Strong work ethic and ability to work with all levels of clients and associates

· Minimum 3 years experience targeting query and reporting efficiencies

· B.S. in Computer Science or related field.

· 1 or more years of programming experience in the following: MS SQL Server

·  In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Platforms

· Experience creating SQL queries, Transact SQL stored procedures and triggers. DTS and MS SQL Agent

· Must have experience as a development DBA, not just as a production DBA
