PowerBuilder Developer - 6 to 8 Month Contract

 

We are currently looking for a PowerBuilder developer for a 6-8 month project for a premier Birmingham Based Company.

Opportunity is available for this position to become extremely long term or permanent, but funding is only initially approved for 6 to 8 months.

Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for reverse engineering activity with predominantly an analysis-based task, with some code development and unit testing if needed.
- Understand and analyze the existing source code written for an Agency Management system in Powerbuilder and T-SQL.
- Document the functionality, processing logic and business rules based on source code analysis.
- Must be self-started with a quick learning curve and should be detail-oriented.

Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge and good work experience on developing applications using Powerbuilder, T-SQL and Sybase
- Excellent Communication skills, verbal and written.
- 4+ years of experience with the above technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications and Visio.
