Position:  Java/J2EE Developer

 

Location:  Birmingham, AL

 

Duration:  6 months right-to-hire

 

Job Description:

 

The incumbent is responsible for modifying existing Internet pages and creating new Internet development. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of internal customers by completing their systems requests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Þ Two or more years of programming experience

Þ Working knowledge of JAVA

Þ Experience analyzing customer needs, design new systems or modify existing systems

Þ Experience interacting with customers to resolve issues

Þ Experience in a position requiring problem-solving and organizational skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Þ A four year college degree

Þ SQL & relational-database experience

Þ Experience with Java J2EE technologies including Servlets, JSP, and JDBC

Þ JMS or MQ-Series experience

Þ WebSphere experience

Þ Experience with JavaScript and EJB

Þ Experience with source control tools such as MKS and CVS

Þ COBOL experience
