IV&V Senior Analyst
Job Description:
All work pursuant to the PMI PMBOK, IEEE, and SEI CMMI.
Specific tasks include:
. Provide verbal status reports and written reports, as requested by the
State, and/or the Department of Finance (DOF).
. Provide technical lV&V and IPO services to both the legacy system, which
is in maintenance and operations and the new system, which is in the
planning phase.
. Perform software integrity level assignments as described in IEEE
1012-2004.
. Perform IV&V and IPO management activities including project scheduling;
anomaly reporting and IV&V Project Status Reporting; administrative
reporting; and weekly status meetings.
. Perform IV&V and IPO activities including development of a Software
Validation and Verification Plan, a Project Management Oversight Plan, a
Risk Management Plan, and an Initial Criticality Assessment.
. Perform Risk Analysis; Project Scope, Cost, and Schedule Adherence
Prediction Assessment; and Root Cause Analysis
. Perform Requirements IV&V and IPO Activities including a Traceability
Analysis; a Review of requirements for completeness and feasibility; and a
Review of interface identification and requirements.
. Perform failure Analysis including analysis of system failures and
determination of: the cause of the failures, the likelihood of additional
failures, corrective actions necessary to prevent further failures, process
improvements, Root Cause Analysis, and Independent Risk Analysis with a
definable and measurable mitigation/contingency plan.
. Perform legacy system operations IV&V including evaluation of new
constraints, operating procedures evaluation, Hazard Analysis, Security
Analysis, and Risk Analysis.
. Perform maintenance IV&V for legacy system including Software Validation
and Verification Plan revision, Anomaly evaluation, Criticality analysis,
Mitigation assessment, Retirement assessment, Hazard analysis, Security
analysis, Risk analysis, and task iteration.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree - preferably in technology related field
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in providing software
engineering verification and validation for a large integration project of
at least $20 million and 1,000 users, using industry standards, such IEEE.
3. Minimum of three (3) years experience in identifying deficiencies
and defects in contract deliverables and following them through to
resolution.
4. Minimum of three (3) years experience in monitoring validity of test
programs.
5. Minimum of three (3) years experience in risk management, consistent
with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) risk management standards
and principles for large IT procurement(s) or software development efforts.
6. Minimum of three years (3) experience in software design adhering to
standards defined in IEEE 1012-2004, Standard for Software Verification and
Validation, and IEEE 1028-1997, Paragraph 6, Inspections.
7. Minimum of three (3) years experience conducting technical
assessments on systems of at least $20 million and 1,000 users.
8. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
9. Experience with State of California agencies.
10. One (1) or more years Quality Assurance or software engineering
verification and validation experience on a project that achieved a formal
level 3 certification in the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability
Maturity Model for Software Development (CMM-SW) or System Acquisition
(CMM-SA).
11. Three (3) or more years experience with implementing, performing
quality assurance on, or performing software engineering verification and
validation on large-scale State of California IT projects.
12. Three (3) or more years project management experience in statewide
projects involving county-based implementation of an information technology
solution.
