Software Engineer
Designs, modifies, develops and tests innovative information technology based solutions, supports customer oriented business applications as required, and participates in technical and peer review processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
For all applications, knowledge of the following information technology concepts/methods is required and experience is preferred:
N-tier or Client/Server applications development and support (Conferencing, Billing, or Telecom experience preferred)
Relational Databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Data Models
Software Development Life-cycle and Source Code Control
For Billing Applications, specific knowledge of and experience with the following environments and tools is required:
C or C++
Oracle 8i or 9i
Unix/Linux and Windows O/S Family
Knowledge of and experience in the following environments and tools is desired:
Portal Infranet Product and APIs - version 6.5 or higher
Source Code Control Tools (prefer SCCS and PVCS)
Unix/Linux shell scripting, Perl, and/or PHP
Visual Basic version 6.x or higher (required for PIBS GUI development)
Java, J2EE (one or more of the following: JSP, Servlet, EJB, JMS, JDBC), or VB.Net, or C#
HTML, HTTP, HTTPS (SSL), XML
Crystal Enterprise and Crystal Reports (prefer version 10), and/or Business Objects product knowledge
IIS 5.x or higher configured for ISAPI extentions, filters, ASP and ASP.Net sites, and .Net Framework
Informix version 9.x
Data Warehousing techniques and approaches
Automated test tools like Mercury's WinRunner, Load Runner etc.
