Recruiter
The Recruitment Department is responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates. Other Recruitment functions include coordinating advertisements, special recruitment events as well as running background checks on potential candidates. Recruitment also administers Temporary Staffing and initiates the New Hire Paperwork process.
The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting and screening/interviewing qualified candidates through most efficient and cost-effective recruiting methods. Will be required to consult with managers, understand the skills needed and participate in the final candidate selection process. Responsible for coordinating advertisements, special events (e.g. open house, job fairs, college recruiting) for various positions in Corporate, Loan Servicing, and Subsidiaries.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Screen/interview applicants in person or via telecom.
- Cold calling/networking.
- Coordinate employment opportunity advertising as needed.
- Coordinate or attend job fairs, open houses, college recruiting.
- Run skill searches to retrieve suitable candidates on Internet/Restrac.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- College course work or equivalent.
A successful candidate will have:
- BA/BS degree in a related field with an emphasis on Human Resources and Industrial Relations preferred.
- Proven track record in researching and successfully recruiting candidates for difficult-to-fill positions, nationally, on a high-volume basis, using executive search methods.
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal labor laws and guidelines including EEO.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and work on many projects simultaneously.
- IBM PC experience mandatory, experience with on-line mainframe desirable.
- Ability to self-motivate be discreet, resourceful and detail-oriented.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with the ability to interface with senior management.
- 3 to 5 years experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on high-volume search and research.
- Demonstrated record of professional ethics.
An ideal candidate may also possess:
- HR certification.
- Knowledge of mortgage banking highly desirable.
