The HR Advisor will play a key role in planning and executing substantial aspects of HR service delivery for the largest performance unit in North America, which is Greater Prudhoe Bay. This role will include sourcing of high caliber, well trained, motivated and high performing people and providing sound advice while meeting high operational standards.
Accountabilities Include:
Asserting the HR agenda in an aligned method and engendering support from key stakeholders.
Managing the delivery of HR services for internal clients.
Identifying the needs and requirements of internal customers and helping them to navigate through the process.
Promoting team work across organizational boundaries in order to meet personal and organizational objectives.
Appraising policy and process effectiveness and addressing challenges when an alternative route is required to address complex business issues.
Diagnosing the need for business change in systems, culture and structure, and recommending appropriate actions.
Implementing ideas and initiatives that support cultural diversity and inclusion principles and challenging violations to ensure HR and business processes are applied in a fair and meritocratic fashion.
Understanding the personnel capability needs of the client and implementing recruitment, selection procedures, and practices that result in the appointment of high caliber candidates.
Implementing compensation and benefits programs to meet the needs of the Business Unit.
Driving improvement through implementation of robust performance management processes and addressing specific concerns by engaging the leadership team in the process.
Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate and develop the organization's structure and business models.
Understanding and applying sound knowledge of HR policies and employment laws to complex cases.
Participating in skill gap analyses and implementing required training solutions and other interventions to meet organizational needs.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of HR Advisor applicants must have:
A minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
An intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word that will include the ability to create and use Autocorrect, create a bulleted list and insert a page number in a footer.
An intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel that will include the ability to enter a formula, hide a column and save a workbook as a template.
The willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time to remote North Slope locations in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this job.
Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
A Master's of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting technical client groups (examples: engineering, geosciences, operations, or computer support).
A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting client organizations with a minimum of 200 employees.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
A Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
