Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist
Hillview Mental Health Center, Inc. is a community mental health center located in the San Fernando Valley. We provide a variety of services to youth and adults with severe and persistent mental disabilities.
We currently have a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist position open for our short-term Adult Residential Program serving individuals with mental disabilities.
The work schedule is eleven and one half (11 ˝) hours per day from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. The schedule has a set rotation that repeats every two weeks. You will be working 3 days one week and 4 days the next week.
Duties include:
• Provide case management and supportive services for people with mental illness in short- term adult residential program.
• Crisis intervention
• Supervision and transportation of clients.
• Documentation and charting in medical record
When considering applying for this position, please review these minimum requirements:
• BA / BS / BSW in mental health or human service field with four years of experience OR
• An AA in mental health or human service field with six years experience (two post graduate).
• Able to work the schedule stated above.
• Comfortable with people in crisis.
• Ability to work in a interdisciplinary team environment and provide comprehensive
service for severely mentally ill people.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) helpful, but not required.
• Must show valid California driver’s license and current insurance information prior to
start date and thereafter, on an annual basis.
