The Clinician I is responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, risk assessment, clinical interventions, case management, coordination of therapeutic activities in the community and that documentation and maintenance of clinical records is completed per appropriate standards and regulations.REQUIREMENTSMaster of Arts (M.A.) degree in MFT, Social Work, Marriage Family Counselor, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field. One (1) year of supervised clinical experience with children. Licensed according to California state law (Welfare and Institutions Code section 5600.2) or become licensed within the designated time frame. Must be bilingual Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications Two (2) to three (3) years of clinical experience with children. Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child abuse, and suicidal trauma with the competency to maintain current knowledge related to state, county, and local law. Self-defense training to react/respond to harmful and violent physical situations. Knowledge of local county rules and regulations from the Department of Social Services or related division. Experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities with culturally diverse populations. Bilingual communication skills in another language.
