We have two Inpatient Pharmacist positions available.  The first is a 7on / 7off Night Shift providing coverage for 3 sister hospitals during 9:00pm - 7:30am using Omnicell and Cerner.  The 2nd position is a day / evening rotational position consisting of four 10hr shifts.  If interested in any of these positions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

 

The Inpatient Pharmacist works under limited supervision while providing pharmaceutical services for inpatients, emergency department patients, skilled nursing facility patients, employees, home infusion patients, affiliated physician practices, and outpatients of Sonora Community Hospital.  The individual will work in close conjunction with the nursing and medical staffs by acting as a resource person for various kinds of pharmaceutical data.  Pharmaceutical care is provided through drug therapy dosing and monitoring based on medical staff approved protocols.

Responsibilities include participation in JCAHO standards compliance for pharmaceutical services, and the development, collection, and organization of continuous quality improvement activities.  The Inpatient Pharmacist participates with in-patients, as caregiver, and staff education relating to drug therapy.

The services provided by Sonora Regional Medical Center Pharmacy Department encompass all aspects of drug therapy including procurement, dispensing, education, administration, monitoring and adjustment. A staff of over 20 professionals including Registered Pharmacists, Registered Pharmacy Technicians, Registered Nurses, and Clerical provide services through the following sub-departments:  Anti-Coagulation and Pain Management, Skilled Nursing, Community (outpatient) Pharmacy, Home Infusion and Acute (inpatient) setting.
