Description
As a Surgical Technician at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, you'll be joining a team dedicated to delivering the best possible healthcare for our patients, through safe, supportive practices. The best people, the best hospitals - they go together. Our Place
The Surgical Technician opening is in our Main Operating Room (MOR) part of the Perioperative Services Department at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital . The MOR, located on the 1st floor of the hospital, features a 19-room surgical suite with many state-of-the-art surgical equipment and facilities. The unit provides interoperative care to patients receiving surgery. Your Position
To fulfill this role as a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room, you'll participate in a wide variety of surgical procedures that include: gynecology, urology, orthopedics, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, ophthalmology, plastics, and ENT.
Like you, we value safety and support. As a newly hired Surgical Technician, you'll be precepted by unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude. Our Requirements:
* Current Surgical Technician certificate
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
* 1 to 2 years operating room experience as a surgical technician at a large community or urban hospital setting
