Quality Managment Services Director

Overview : The Director of Quality Management promotes performance improvement through leadership, role modeling, teaching and mentoring when and where appropriate. This position works with physicians, staff, and management to champion the adoption of performance improvement concepts and principles. The position directs and coordinates quality improvement activities conducted facility wide including Administration, department managers and staff to assure continuous monitoring of hospital wide quality improvement. This position exists to provide effective operation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management department, including investigation of significant clinical events, quality assessment/improvement, decision support and coordination of compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g. JCAHO, DHS, CMS) requirements. Salaried position.

Qualifications :

BSN or bachelor degree in health care or related field; Masters degree or CPHQ preferred. Five years of experience in an acute care facility required.
Three years of management level experience in area of QI/PI desired.
