PLASMA PROCESSOR - Tuscaloosa, AL
You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating plasma collections after donors have undergone plasmapheresis procedures.
Duties include: maintaining safe, efficient work area; ensuring that plasma collected is prepared for shipments; freezing units for final packing; obtaining all necessary samples accurately and efficiently; maintaining accurate documentation; promote customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction with customers; and maintain supplies necessary to perform all job duties.
Maintain thorough familiarity with State and Federal Regulations, FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, as well as all internal company procedures. Maintain equipment/work area in a clean and organized manner; report all equipment in need of repair.
May be required to work weekends and evenings.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED, excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and PC skills. Familiarity with State and Federal regulations, SOPs, OSHA, CLIA and cGMPs is desirable. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical ability to operate plasma processing equipment. Manual dexterity to perform all phases of plasma processing, including exposure to short periods of freezing temperature conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods of time - up to four (4) hours at a time. Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds.

International BioResources (IBR Plasma Centers) is ideally interested in candidates with experience in biologics/plasma center operations or other medical, clinical, laboratory, hospital, biotech /, pharmaceutical or military environments where you have gained experience following internal and external quality regulations and protocols (e.g. cGMP, SOP, FDA, CAPA, OSHA, CLIA). Depending on the position requirements, previous experience as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), Nurse / Nursing (LPN, RN, CNA), Hospital Corpsman, Medical Corpsman, Laboratory Assistant or Specialist, Quality Assurance / Control, QA or QC Specialist may be of interest.
