Plasma Donor Center Managers

Talecris Plasma Resources is proud to announce that due to growth

initiatives through market expansion, we are now hiring for Plasma Donor

Center Managers. The manager directs all operations in the center

including: the procurement of donors, community relations, personnel

practices, quality control, and the shipment of plasma. The goal is to

produce the highest quality plasma and the maximum quantity within budget

while maintaining all Talecris, State and Federal procedural,

safety and environmental requirements.

 

Job Description:

· Supervise donor suitability, whole blood collection, plasma

collection

· Responsible for hiring, training and discipline of all plasma center

employees

· Maintain donor safety and records concurrent with these activities

to at the highest production standards in accordance with Federal,

State, and Bayer regulations and procedures. (i.e. OSHA, FDA, etc.)

· Assure compliances to company procedure and regulatory

guidelines through the Center Standards CSOP and CSAP to ensure the

safety of donors and employees, and minimize unsafe product quality

· Develop, monitor and maintain an active donor recruitment

advertising campaign to achieve production goals and achieve quality

standards and objectives

· Develop and monitor operating costs of the plasma center

· Maintain professional image in the center and obtain favorable

community relations

· Provide timely and accurate reports to Plasma Purchasing Manager

· Monitor training performance, hiring decisions, discipline,

scheduling and record keeping actions to ensure the efficient and

effective operation of the center

 

Job Requirements

· Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with knowledge of

Business, Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, English and Math.

· A minimum of two years supervisory experience and five years overall

experience in a plasma center, blood bank or equivalent medical or

regulated field required.

· Previous experience should demonstrate expertise (or knowledge) in

cGMP's, FDA regulations, SOP's, as well as an understanding of

quality control principles and QA audit functions.

 

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Regional Manager, Plasma procurement. The

geographical separation of the Regional manager to the Center Manager

requires a significant amount of individual judgment and front line

decision-making. Most of the time the manager works independently

and is expected to determine his/her own projects or tasks based on upper

management request, known priorities, knowledge of scheduled events

or product demands. Immediate supervision is seldom required. Progress

and results are monitored on a weekly and monthly basis through

reports. Any unusual incidents involving donors, employees or the plasma

center are brought to the attention of the Regional Manager.

Effective donor recruitment and retention strategy is essential to meeting

volume and cost goals budgeted. These decisions include fee structure,

bonus payments and marketing strategy. Provides for efficient management

of the center.
