Software Engineer

Description: We currently are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 5-7 years experience to perform the following tasks:

o Performs the analysis, design, programming, and modifications for software products and/or customer applications.
o Writes code; performs complete analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of applications.
o Finalizes forms, procedures, and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs.
o Interfaces with product management, marketing, and/or customers to add new or custom features to company products.
o May use a wide range of disciplines such as distributed networking and databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications.
o Requires firm background in software engineering including analysis, design, implementation, and verification. At more advanced levels, establishes techniques for the design and modification of software.
o May provide work leadership to a team.

Qualifications:
o Must have extensive knowledge of online application and portal design and development
o Experience with Java and/or .NET; Sharepoint experience a plus
o Skill in communicating effectively with a wide variety of people
o Experience in large volume data analysis and SQL performance tuning
o Good communication skills and ability to work both individually and in a team environment are required.
o Adherence to software process framework AND ability to work in unstructured environment.
o Knowledge of principles and practices of project management

ADDITIONAL VALUABLE SKILLS:
o Business process and/or data modeling experience within the healthcare industry
o Business Intelligence Terminology, techniques and methodologies.
o Experience with Micro-strategy Version 8 (MSI certification a plus); experience with other BI tools and ability to code with SDK in Micro-strategy

Education:
BS in Computer Science or related field is required.
