OneLegacy, a donate life organization, has five (5) immediate opportunities for a Per Diem Recovery Technician I in our Redlands Office. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of all recovery details required for donation to occur with Donor Coordinator, including coordinating the procurement process with other participating agencies, such as hospitals, ME/Coroners, funeral directors, eye banks, and/or research organizations. Also responsible for the recovery of eye tissue at hospitals, coroner facilities, and funeral homes; interacting and communicating with staff, volunteers, customers, individuals, and groups. Acts as a vital member of the recovery team in a position of excising technician or Back Table Technician for the aseptic surgical recovery of all tissues that OneLegacy has received legal consent for recovery. Performs laboratory and office duties. Job Qualifications and Requirements: Education – Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, or two years related experience and/or training in an allied health or mortuary sciences field. Experience – Minimum of two years of clinical hospital or public health experience preferred. Certification/License: CEBT and CTBS certification preferred. Medical or technical background required, such as MD, RN, LPN, MT, MLT, EMT, PA, OR Tech or Associate degree in related field. OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance based on California minimum insurance coverage standards. Requirement: Reliable automotive transportation. Employee must be able to pass a local government agency (coroner’s office) background check.
