Sonora Regional Medical Center is looking for top-notch dependable Laboratory professionals to help meet the needs of our community by delivering quality services and care to our patients.
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing job duties within the hospital and laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for analysis in the following departments: Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urine/Serology, and Blood Bank. Maintains inventory and ordering of laboratory reagents, and supplies. Reviews and maintains policies and procedures in departmental manuals. Documents, review and submits quality control and maintenance. Performs instrument and testing trouble shooting, validation, and calibration. Participates in proficiency testing. Participates in Quality Assurance projects. Maintains competency in the laboratory information system. Maintains responsibilities and proficiency to meet the State of California, The Federal Government and JCAHO. Acts as resource for laboratory assistants and clerical staff.
