HEALTH INSURANCE AND BILLING SPECIALIST

 

Benefit Recovery is currently searching for outgoing, self-starting multi-taskers for health insurance collection and patient marketing, as well as Medical Inpatient Billing. This position is located at Maxwell Air Force Base AL. Candidates must be computer literate and have medical insurance verification experience, along with a background in inpatient billing. Health Insurance and Billing Specialists provide assistance to customers, verify other billable health insurance and enter information into the database. They also complete inpatient billing to third party insurance companies.

Candidates must be very detail oriented, have billing experience for facility and professional services, and be an accurate and fast typist. Good verbal, mathematical and communication skills are essential. Experience in the customer service field is a must. A Health Insurance and Billing Specialist must have the ability to communicate effectively with a positive attitude and pleasant voice during interaction with colleagues, hospital staff, patients, public, physicians and their staff, and third party insurance personnel.

 

Benefit Recovery is a Houston based, fast growing company with locations in 20 states that has been in operation since 1992, with the thrust of the business operation geared toward recovering denied hospital claims from health insurance carriers. In 2002 Benefit Recovery tripled in size, doubled in size in 2003, and in 2004 the company increased our Air Force Third Party Collections business by being awarded a large Air Force National Third Party Collections contract, which will continue to increase the company’s growth in the future!
