Data Analyst/Architect / DC

Kforce Government Solutions formally Pinkerton Computer Consultants is currently looking for a number of Senior Data Analysts/Architects for our current long term federal projects. Candidate MUST be a US CITIZEN.

 

General Role and Responsibilities:

Serving as a primary authority for Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) data architecture requirements; 

Participating in strategic planning, development, and preparation of deliverables in compliance with OMB and FEA requirements as defined by the FEA DRM (Data Reference Model);

Working to establish and maintain effective working relationships with data subject matter experts within the agency; and providing timely effective communication in advocacy of data compliance initiatives on behalf of the assigned task leadership across the agency.

The successful applicant must have a demonstrated work ethic and history of on-schedule performance.

 

Other Required Skills:

* A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in data administration and data management discipline, with at least 10 years spent in a technical capacity and 5 years spent in leadership roles;

* Experience in an architect or analyst capacity in a data management organization (beyond basic data modeling assignments);

* An understanding of how to implement a data architecture based on a framework (i.e., Zachman) and the metadata factors that enable communication about the data architecture to serve strategic planning, business operation, and technical support needs;

* Experience in an environment operated according to data standard best practices (e.g., standard terms and naming, model management, data repository usage);

* At least 3 years of data management experience at a Federal Government department or agency;

* Direct experience with Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, FEA Reference Models, Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) methodology (or equivalent), and use of EA toolsets;

* In-depth experience with the All-Fusion ERwin Data Model, with All-Fusion Model Manager and Advantage Repository preferred;

* A working knowledge of the inter-relationships of the health-care industry;

* Some exposure to standard data exchange formats (i.e., EDI (HIPAA), XML (HL7));

* Excellent oral and written communication skills;

* Strong consensus building and facilitation skills, along with an ability to convey information to senior managers and assist office staff in developing appropriate deliverables;

* Flexibility and ability to work within a challenging environment;

* Familiarity and knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including project initiation/planning, requirements analysis/feasibility study, design, development/software product evaluation, and selection, testing, implementation, operations, maintenance, and support; and

* High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and MS Project.

Education: an advanced degree in Information Systems, MBA, or equivalent experience.
