Summary: Incumbent will serve under direct supervision of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Regional Administrator and receive oversight direction and guidance from the Director of the Office of Human Services Emergency Preparation and Response (OHSEPR).
Management Scope: This position is non-supervisory.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors DegreeEight years relevant experience Understanding of the National Response Plan, Emergency Support Function 6Experience in Emergency Response and PreparednessNo security clearance will be required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with coordination of communications and briefings on emergency preparation and response (EPR).Assist with coordination of reporting functions.Assist with coordination of post disaster evaluations.Develop and execute special strategies and outreach initiatives to establish partnering relationships with State Human Services agencies.Serve as a liaison to Federal, State, Local, Tribal and grantee Human Services agencies within the Region, as well as emergency management officials.Serve as coordinator and technical expert in the preparation for deployment of AFC regional staff to support emergency response and disaster recovery efforts.Ability to deploy remotely or through short-term details.May be detailed to assist other AFC Regional Offices as needed in their emergency planning and response efforts.
