Regional Operations Manager - Retail Mtg. - Falls Church

As a Regional Operations Manager with Chase Home Mortgage (Retail/Prime Division), you will manage documentation, control, processing and closing for the region; oversee the training of branch operations supervisors and loan processors/closers; implement and monitor system procedures for tracking, filing and monitoring the progress of loan packages from the time of initial application through closing/funding; monitor all activities, including appraisal, credit report, underwriting and document preparation to enable development and completion of total loan packages; ensure that quality loans are produced with sufficient documentation to enable rapid turnaround; ensure compliance with practices through spot review of documents; develop and administer budget; oversee the daily functions of the branches and coordinate workloads between departments, assuring quality and compliance are maintained; provide direction and support for Branch personnel relative to the corporate guidelines, policies, procedures and issues; handle responsibilities for operations employees' timely performance reviews and development planning; maintain a good working knowledge of all jobs within the Branch in order to be a resource of information for questions and problems; provide guidance and appropriate training; maintain communication between Branch, Regional and Corporate offices; prepare and submit reports as assigned by management; provide recommendations to Branch Managers regarding workflow changes as necessary to improve overall workflow efficiencies in the Branches; assist Branch Managers in the management of Branch cost through operation efficiency while providing adequate controls; and coordinate with Branch managers to meet production goals.


Minimum 6 years experience in mortgage loan processing/closing (conventional and government; purchase and refinance).
Minimum 2 years experience in loan production administration, including prior supervisory experience. 
College degree preferred or equivalent supervisory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State regulatory policies and procedures.
Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC and Government guidelines. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills. 
Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively interact with various styles and levels of management and be able to adjust own communication style based on the audience.
