Manage and implement the newly issued Security and Health & Safety Global Minimum Standards (GMS) in specific country of responsibility.



Security



The role entails a technical knowledge of Security & Building systems.

Protective Security Operations

Enforce Bank's Protective Security policies and procedures.

Monitor office activity for incidents, suspicious or prohibited activity that threaten the safety and comfort of Staff, including use of Access Control system, cameras, walk-about and liaison with the Building Management Team and the Bank's engaged Contract Guards.

Manage building security systems including CCTV and Access Control system with links between all properties in the Americas. Updating/granting access control, production of access cards, intruder alarms and regular backups.

Work with Head of CRES to escalate, investigate and document breaches of protective security such as robberies, office theft and vandalism.

Assist in the monitoring and/or the invocation of emergency procedures, including Medical Emergencies.

Coordinate Security for various internal and external business functions.

Implement Group Protective Security policies and standards on personal and business protection.

All countries must have security management procedures in place which comply with the Manual of Personal and Business Protection and in particular deal with the following key elements: :

1. Staff awareness on security and emergency procedures;



2. effective security for premises and property;



3. operating procedures for the protection of cash and valuables;



4. operating procedures for the management of security incidents and emergencies;



5. procedures for the protection of information not held on IT systems



Maintain contingency plans for bomb threats, robbery, kidnap and other emergency situations.

Comply with audit and group standards with regards to Protective Security

Travel semi-annual or as needed to all locations to audit Security processes and procedures as well as review physical security.

Review and trend all security system reports from each facility on a monthly basis.

Report any irregularities to Head of CRES.

Review Security DVDs sporadically and as needed to identify any breaches in security.

Report all operational Risk management issues to Phoenix and CORG

Health and Safety



Lead the management and implementation of project plan at country level (such as activities, resources, time, quality, risks, scope, staff training and change) to include GMS safety remediation and revised risk assessment / control procedures.

Ensure approval of country project plans takes place.

Ensure country project is progressing according to country plan while ensuring consistency with Group standards and project reporting requirements.

Ensure country project deliverables include a review of all regulatory and legal requirements and comparison against GMS criteria in order to define country safety management rules and practices

Responsible to ensure consistent, timely, accurate and regular communication at country level (across all required units) takes place.





Manage and implement the newly issued Security and Health & Safety Global Minimum Standards (GMS) in specific country of responsibility. Coordinate with the Country CEO and country business heads to ensure country acceptance of standards and processes

. Ensure that the specific country idiosyncrasies against Group standards are managed properly, including exception handling against standards and updating Money Laundering prevention standards to reflect local country regulations and local market practice

Act as a knowledge expert for the country plan and coordinate efforts and resolution of issues at

country level.

Provide guidance, direction and support to country Project Team members to ensure plans are progressing according to schedule.

Ensure all Internal relationships (identified above) are aware of the project scope, process, roles and responsibilities.

Ensure buy-in at country level is positively transformed and full ownership is left at country level.

Responsible for managing, escalating and in most cases resolving safety risks and other critical issues, including buy-in, resourcing, and providing the right priority to the project. Where appropriate escalate to the right level, such as Country CEO, CORG, etc

Ensure reasonable cost management principles are followed.

Ensure the quality of the rollout of GMS and assist in training and raising awareness of country staff

Ensure orderly close out of the project and transition all required activities to business as usual units.

Report all operational Risk management issues to Phoenix and CORG

Graduate or equivalent, 5 – 10 years of experience in Security and Health and Safety. Banking Industry preferred

Good understanding of key areas of security and health and safety management, including national legislation, risk assessment and control techniques, audit and reporting

Strong leadership, motivational, interpersonal and negotiating skills.

Ability to prioritise, manage and direct multiple activities.

Detail oriented with strong organisational focus.

Strong interpersonal & communication skills with various levels of staff and external parties.

Able to be a technically oriented problem solver.
