Carrier Analyst V

General Summary: Responsible for negotiating contracts with telecommunications service providers based on established business objectives and terms and conditions. Manages vendor pricing proposals and RFPs to support Sales ICB process for off-net circuits. Maintains inventory of vendor services and network information on XO’s intranet site to support bid processes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Negotiates contracts with telecommunications service providers to extend XO’s network footprint, maintain a competitive cost structure and minimize XO’s risks.

2. Supports XO Sales bids by obtaining ICB costs from vendors to allow XO to bid competitively on opportunities.

3. Routinely polls XO’s vendors for escalation, network and product data to update XO’s intranet for internal use by XO network and sales organizations.

4. Supports regular changes in XO internal pricing systems that is the basis for supporting Sales ICB pricing requests.

5. Interacts with internal Legal support to ensure XO business interests are fully understood and protected in the development of new contracts.



Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree (Business) or equivalent.
• Relevant Work Experience: 3 – 5 years contract negotiation, purchasing and telecommunications experience
