General Statement of Duties:
Serves as chief fiscal, administrative and business officer of the College. Oversees operations of the following functions at the College; Business Office, Information Technology and Facilities Management. Responsible for the administration, supervision and control of financial and all other business-related services including; the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget for consideration by the President. Maintains liaison with appropriate state offices and the Board of Higher Education Administrative Fiscal Officer. Responsible for implementation and execution of internal budgetary controls and acts as liaison with independent auditors. Other managerial duties as assigned. Reports directly to the President of the College.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in business, accounting, management or a closely-related field required. General knowledge of accounting in a managerial capacity within a complex business, corporate or non-for-profit organization. Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze and implement effective and innovative budget, financial and administrative strategies. Demonstrated ability to work and lead effectively in a collegial and participatory manner emphasizing team-building. Demonstrated appreciation for the academic environment and issues facing higher education. Demonstrated commitment to the employment and development of an ethnically and culturally diverse staff. Knowledge of federal and state statutes applicable to all financial and administrative functions of the College. Understanding of the issues related to employee insurance and other risk management issues. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the use and application of information system technology. Understanding of the role and mission of the comprehensive community college in public higher education. Experience with methods and requirements of independent external audits by CPA firms. Knowledge of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts statutes, financial and administrative infrastructure as they pertain to higher education. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Proficiency in oral and written expression, experience with the implementation of commercially available administrative computer software packages, especially those related to student accounts, accounting and management of the College. Extensive and demonstrated supervisory experience. Expertise in Information Technology. Experience in a community college setting, college auxiliary services and with the collective bargaining environment.
Shift:
37.5 ( Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in attractive employee benefits program. )
Salary:
$105,000.00 - $115,000.00 Yearly - Full Time State Funded with Benefits
