Sr. Financial Analyst

Summary:
Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis. Review complex financial data received from managers for inclusion in indirect and forward pricing rate package submission to the government. Maintain documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area. Ensure management understanding of rate and budget issues. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and DAR/FAR government regulations. Conduct and may lead audits. May provide work leadership for staff.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of four years of related experience is required. Individual is also required to have a basic working knowledge of general accounting, project and cost accounting as well as government contracting principals.

Skills Needed:
This position requires a working knowledge of financial transactions that occur both inside and outside of Costpoint: such as labor time-sheets, invoice/voucher approval process, payables and receivables, and billings. This individual will be required to provide processes analysis as well as financial analysis of transactions, with minimal management oversight, for accuracy and allow ability. Final results will be provided to management with documented evidence supporting conclusions with a high level of accuracy that can be assimilated into final reports to upper management as well as submissions to our government customers and auditors. This individual will ultimately be responsible for developing the direct labor bid rates and incurred costs submissions as well as assist with responding to DCAA inquiries. This individual must have the proven ability to be a valued member of a team and function in a fast paced office environment characterized by frequently changing priorities. This individual must be self motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to drive assignments through to completion. Familiarity with FAR/CAS/DCAA a plus, but not a requirement. Intermediate skills in Costpoint, Impromptu and Excel.
Required Qualifications for Job Post:
Demonstrated initiative. Requires excellent workmanship skills, with regards to quality, accuracy, and timeliness. To effectively contribute to the compliance department, this position must be able to communicate financial/program information in a documented manner with a high degree of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications for Job Post:
Intermediate skills in Costpoint, Impromptu, Word and Excel, with some experience in Microsoft Access.
