Senior Financial Analyst for Electronics and North American Hardlines

Amazon.com seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the North America Hardlines Finance team. The position is responsible for financial reporting in support of the Electronics business. A successful candidate will partner closely with the Electronics business team to maximize revenue and profit for the growing business. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Finance Manager for Hardlines Finance.


 


The senior financial analyst is responsible for:

Providing financial and analytical support including: daily, weekly, monthly reporting on financial and non-financial metrics;
Facilitation of the quarterly forecasting process;
All general ad hoc analytical support including evaluation of business proposals, promotional activities, and demand generating initiatives.


The finance team works closely with the business team, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams.



The successful candidate will have a four year college degree and MBA from a top-notch university. He or she will also have at least 4 years of relevant work experience.

 

Ideal candidates will have strengths in the following areas:Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentAbility to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items; strong analytical skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to maintain a high level of attention to detailAbility to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads; understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth. This individual should have strong PC modeling skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Access (knowledge of SQL, Cognos and Essbase not required, but helpful).

Amazon.com is recruiting for Seattle-based opportunities. Relocation to Seattle, WA is required.
