Senior Analyst-Management Reporting

Business Performance Management (BPM) has an opportunity for you to be part of an exciting transformation in Circuit City’s data and reporting environment.  As a BPM Senior Analyst, you will develop holistic data and reporting solutions that support strategy and facilitate fact-based decision making.  You will work closely with executives, Managers and Analysts from multiple internal groups to ensure consistency and standardization of measurement and reporting across the organization. 

 

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to possess exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with all levels in the organization.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must.  You must be comfortable working with high level managers in various functional areas to define data, report and analytical requirements.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work independently in the management and motivation of cross-functional project teams

• Work closely with internal customers to understand data, reporting and analytical needs

• Define and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics (Financial and non-financial)

• Thoroughly document functional requirements for metrics and reports

• Manage relationships with internal support departments to include MIS

• Present results and recommendations to senior executives and managers

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and develop reports to support short-term business needs

• Serve as a subject matter expert on data, metrics and reporting

 

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in an analytical role (required)

• BS or BA in business or related field (required)

• Project management experience (preferred)

• 2+ years Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role (required)

• MBA or related Masters Degree (preferred)

• Experience defining and mapping business processes (preferred)

 

Technical Requirements:

• Intermediate Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Working knowledge of Cognos ReportNet (preferred)
