 Position Summary

Primarily responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the financial management staff to ensure timely completion of projects, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This individual will also be responsible for business development, proposal development, and general growth of the DISA portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with Client Delivery Manager to map out growth strategy, develop a business plan, and identify new opportunities.

 Essential Work ElementsOversees ongoing operations, ensuring the timely completion and delivery of projects.Responsible for business growth and development.  Acts as principal high level customer contact and manages client relationships. Identifies and responds to customer requests and ensures that potential sources of difficulty are made known to top management.Assumes responsibility for all contracts administration within the program to include reading and understanding the contents of the contract, drawing up and meeting the deliverables schedule, and maintaining all required liaison with the customers/users.Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project goals, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.Formulates and defines the technical scope and objectives of projects.Organizes and modifies the program (within contractual, staffing, and cost limitations) to complete assigned projects and ensure optimum capability for generating new business.Coordinates all recruiting and employment offers in line with company policies, procedures, and practices.Motivates, develops, and retains staff to ensure sustained contract performance.Monitors project results against technical specifications.Responsible for cost accounting and profit and loss.Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.Develops and implements quality assurance/customer satisfaction plans to ensure that high standards of professional excellence are maintained among the project staff.Responsive to the leadership of the corporation.Exhibits behavior consistent with the vision and values communicated by the corporation.Supports corporate goals and objectives, contributing to the accomplishment of the overall mission.

 Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline plus at least 10 years of directly related experience.Knowledge of DoD financial policies and practices (mainly DISA, DARPA, GSA, etc.) or other specialty areas relating to financial management.Ideal candidate has previous leadership experience in an environment where business growth was a key component of the job responsibility.

 Required SkillsKnowledge of EVMS processes and terminology and possesses technical competence to complete all phases of the EVMS and report data as required.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated customer relation skillsAbility to effectively establish and meet deadlinesExperienced in project management Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, research and synthesize data, and propose unique solutions or alternatives.Proven leadership skills
