Principal Program Financial Analyst

Minimum Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, plus six (6) or more years of related, task-on experience, including a thorough knowledge of program tracking in an earned value environment (preferably maintaining a program with CPR requirements).

Skills Needed:
The Principal Program Financial Analyst must be familiar with proposal preparation and contract negotiation support. this requires a working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Deltek Accounting Systems, and Program Control Software (MPM, Corba, etc). In addition, this position requires a working knowledge and proficient understanding of Earned Value Management and Performance Analysis and experience working on contracts with EVMS requirements. To effectively contribute to the finance department, this position must be able to communicate financial information efficiently within a matrix organization.

Duties Specific to the Position:
Individual is responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting, earned value management, and analysis. Reviews financial data received from both managers and the accounting system for accuracy and indications of cost spending trends. Maintains and presents documented financial information to various levels of management. Ensures compliance with internal procedures and DAR/FAR government regulations. Participates in audits and interfaces with government auditors to ensure an understanding of financial data, methodology and applicability under appropriate government regulations exists. Other duties as assigned.
