Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis - Corporate

Purpose

Manage corporate financial forecasting for $1.5 billion multinational company.  Responsibilities include consolidation and analysis of business unit performance.  Communicate with senior management on financial results and forecasts.

 Key Responsibilities

Ø  Manage corporate forecast process.  Maintain and enhance corporate forecast model.  Update assumptions and track changes to forecasts.  Metrics tracked include income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, product line sales, foreign exchange, etc

Ø  Organize and consolidate the Annual operating plan and annual strategic goal setting.  Manage budgeting process, consolidate results and assist in the determination of the proper external targets.  Develop presentation to the board of directors.  Consolidate and analyze the strategic plan, support presentation to board of directors.

Ø  Support external and internal presentations.  Provide financial support to the preparation of investor presentation.  Develop internal financial presentations. 

Ø  Facilitate the quarterly earnings release.  Update financial model with current results perform analysis of the results to external and internal expectations.

Ø  Customized long-term and strategic modeling.  Perform ad hoc modeling  Critical Success Factors 

 

Ø Technical Skills:  5-7 years experience in finance and/or accounting.  MBA in finance (CPA a plus). 2+ years experience in financial forecasting for multi national corporate.  Proficient user in Microsoft Office applications and Hyperion is a plus.   

 

Ø Communication Skills:  Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.

Ø  Management of Resources:  Allocates time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities; continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency.  Demonstrates ability to be effective within a matrix environment.  Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and take ownership of projects; performing job requirements with minimal oversight and attention to detail.

Ø  Business & Organization Knowledge:  Understands the PerkinElmer business and the impact of the Finance organization on the operation. 

Ø Change Management:  Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
