Manager Financial Planning and Analysis

Managers of Financial Analysis at Circuit City are involved in a wide range of challenging and interesting assignments that are key to the success of the business. As a manager, you will typically lead a team of Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts.  The team plays a significant role in initiatives that involve cross-functional teams, leaders of Finance and other functions, and general management.  For example, Managers of Financial Analysis at Circuit City are engaged in the following activities.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Analysis of business unit profit performance  --  leading a process that enhances quality of management decision making by identifying drivers of performance and opportunities for performance improvement
Analysis of merchandise performance  --  lead a process that assists merchants by identifying sales and margin trends across merchandise categories, price points and store locations
Analysis of economics related to business initiatives – lead a team that consists of a group of analysts that perform various analytical tasks including the development and monitoring of various merchandising related tests
Formulation of analysis to assess business opportunities
Interpretation of budgets and forecasts  --  play a leading role in process that allocates financial and human resources to activities that have the greatest business impact
Development of annual and long-range plans  --  play a leading role in process that links business strategy to operational plans and expected range of financial outcomes

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following combined experience:

 
Critical Management Competencies
8+ years of  planning and analysis experience, or strategy consulting experience with concentrations in retail, financial services, manufacturing, consumer products or supply chain
