Economic/Cost Analyst

NewVectors, a subsidiary of Altarum, is looking for a professional and articulate Cost Analyst to support economic analysis tasks for a major DOD information technology acquistion program management office in Alexandria, VA.

Working as part of a project team performing various economic studies to include net present value analysis, life-cycle cost and benefit analysis, return on investment, and other economic and business case analyses. Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple Government offices and other contractors, and will be required to make formal and informal reports and presentations to project and customer management.

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of related experience, a BA/BS in economics or related field, and skills/experience in some/all of these areas: life-cycle cost/benefit analysis, functional economic analysis, business process improvement analysis, business case analyses and risk/sensitivity analysis. Knowledge and experience in Federal Government policies and procedures governing economic and cost analysis, especially of DoD IT programs, is desirable but not required. Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process and regulations (DoD 5000.2) will be necessary but can be learned prior to job-start. Strong analytical skills are a must. Advanced skills and experience in MS Excel are necessary and experience with risk analysis add-ons such as @Risk or Crystal Ball is a plus; Knowledge and experience with other COTS analysis tools is desirable. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be eligible to attain a government security clearance (US citizenship is required).
