The General Dynamics Army Infrastructure Sector is looking for an energetic organized professional to join the Pentagon Renovation Program Team as a Cost Estimator. The Program generates over $30 million a year in proposal activity through a high volume of change order activity. The person chosen to fill this position will be joining a highly successful Program that has partnered with its customer and earned 100% of available award fees.
The Program is a high-profile mission-critical program to modernize the voice, video, and data communication networks for the entire Pentagon campus (five wedges). The program scope is highly complex, requiring GD to renovate the entire Pentagon IT infrastructure, supporting nearly 30,000 users emanating from 70 separate tenant organizations that are geographically dispersed throughout the National Capitol Region.
The Cost Estimator will develop price proposals for the Pentagon Renovation program and other competitive opportunities. Responsibilities include collecting cost and pricing data, preparation of current cost or pricing data certification, developing the structure of the cost proposal, interfacing with technical and business staff to understand the scope of work and to create a WBS, coordinating price quotes with procurement, developing proposal specific pricing strategies and negotiating with subcontractors and customers.
Requires Bachelor's degree.
Requires minimum 8 years of related experience. Requires at least 3 years experience in pricing and cost estimating for government proposals.
