Auditor

Auditor Responsibilities Perform financial and operational audits in accordance with professional practice of Audit & Adviory Resources' risk assessment

Interview individuals to gain insight during the audit process

Perform transaction and compliance testing to evaluate existence, efficiency, and effectiveness of internal control procedures

Prepare accurate and concise audit reports, documenting each step in the audit program

Communicate verbal and written presentations to management, discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective action, and suggesting improvements

Provide input for revision of departmental programs to accomplish objectives

Maintain awareness of rules, regulations, and standards in the fields of internal audit and accounting

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in accounting and experience in an auditing or other business related environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience

General knowledge of accounting and audit theory and practices, financial analysis and reporting, and system controls

Ability to plan and perform standard audit procedures of simple to moderate complexity

Ability to interpret bookkeeping and accounting records and reports

Analytical ability sufficient to appraise and verify accuracy of accounting and auditing records and reports, evaluate systems of internal control, and ensure application of accepted accounting and auditing theory

Knowledge of and ability to use automated accounting systems

Ability to travel for extended periods of time

Effective communication skills

Ability to work within established time frames

Preferred Qualifications


Certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Information Systems Auditor, or significant progress toward certification
