Assistant Controller

Fast Growing $100MM+ East Valley Nutritional Supplement sales/distribution company has an immediate opening in Finance/Accounting department for an Assistant Controller/Manager of Accounting.

 

The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in the management of the day to day accounting and operations functions as well as the following activities:

 Timely and successful completion of all month end close tasks/responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain monthend accounting close calendar and task checklistMonthly Account Reconciliations maintained and reviewed for accuracy and completenessPreparation and Review of financial statements for accuracy on a monthly basis Supervising small staff of degreed and non-degreed accountants and clerks Bank Account ReconciliationsDaily Cash/Treasury Reporting functions as assigned by ControllerOversee daily reconciliation of merchant banking transactions to sale order system.Overseeing the A/P, payroll, and product returns functions

 The Assistant Controller must possess the following minimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7-10 years of corporate accounting experience5+ years management experienceCPA credentialsAbility to successfully complete all accounting functions as they relate to the month end close Strong account analysis/reconciliation skillsExperience coordinating yearend audit/working with outside auditorsStrong Excel and Accounting System skillsExperience developing/implementing accounting policies and proceduresStrong leadership skills, coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Salary Range:  $75k to $90k DOE
