Position Description:

Lead the Actuarial Pricing team within the Long Term Care Insurance Division of Genworth Financial—the industry-leading writer of long-term care insurance.

Responsible for a team of Actuaries who price many products: best-selling individual LTC products, the group LTC product line and hybrid/combo LTC product lines. This position requires strong leadership and management experience; effective communication skills to influence all levels within the organization; an eagerness to learn and share knowledge with others; open to new ways of approaching actuarial problems and a familiarity with actuarial pricing/modeling software/techniques. Ability to apply actuarial expertise with sound judgment in making pricing decisions. Pricing Leader presents results to senior leadership. Effective Senior level communication and presentation skills are required, as is the ability to cooperate with other key constituents (marketing, operations, claims and management). Position created as part of restructuring effort to place additional focus on getting innovative products to market faster. This position reports to the Chief Actuary.

Basic Candidate Qualifications:
*Actuarial Credentials: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
*College or University degree.
*5+ years of Actuarial department/s management and people development experience.
*10+ years of Actuarial work experience with a minimum of 3 years of insurance pricing experience.
*LTC Product knowledge and pricing experience.
*Strong oral and written communication skills.
*Ability to influence decisions and outcomes of new products.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities*Prior management of an actuarial team required.

*MoSes actuarial software
*Alpha actuarial software
*Executive communication experience
