COMMERCIAL FUELS ADVISOR

 

Job Duties:

§  Develop action plan to identify and mitigate risks associated with commercial ground fuels

§  Develop impact report from projections of commercial fuel trends

§  Model commercial fuel trend history and project product availability, quality, and price

§  Gather, model, trend, and analyze political and economic information for commercial fuels

§  Develop relationships with counterparts at other FedEx operating companies, fuel industry leaders and other analysts/experts

§  Benchmark fuel management and sourcing strategies and practices against FedEx Freight competitors and non-competitors

§  Develop expansion strategies for on-site fuel storage at FedEx Freight facilities

§  Continuously model and analyze commercial fuel processes, and recommend improvements

§  Understand specific performance characteristics of regional and boutique fuels

§  Develop and communicate operational strategies to maximize fuel efficiency

§  Monitor fuel news and events judged to be of potentially high impact on company and quickly communicate to leadership

§  Monitor the competitive environment relating to fuels and the potential impact on business strategies

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

§  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

§  Five (5) years experience in one or more of the following areas:

·  Commercial fuel or fuel additive marketing, distribution, sourcing or strategic planning

·  Commodity research, analysis and/or forecasting, oil and gas industry

·  Fleet fuel management or planning

·  Fuel testing and quality assurance

§  Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, including but not limited to economics, political science, business administration, finance, statistics, mathematics or engineering
